The flagship product during my senior-developer run at Fleet Logistics /
Ezy2c (part of the RIC Holdings group). Ezy2c is an Australian GPS
asset-tracking platform — customers plug trackers into their vehicles
and equipment, and the dashboard shows where everything is, where it has
been, and how it's performing.
What I built
- Customer-facing website — marketing site, account signup, and the
gateway into the tracking dashboard. - Tracking dashboard — the live map, historical playback, geofencing,
alerts, and reporting views. Millions of position fixes a day;
database engineering for heavy ingest was a constant theme. - Back-office tooling — account management, device provisioning,
support tools, and customer billing integrations.
Scale
Every vehicle reported its position every second. Customers spanned
transport, fleet management, government, military, and aged-care
tracking — tens to hundreds of devices per customer across many clients.
The continuous telemetry dataset ran into the millions of records, and
spatial SQL did a lot of heavy lifting.
The Ezy2c site is still live and still trading.
